(More customer reviews)I have always attempted to track where I took a photo manually. When I purchased the Nikon D300 and learned of it's capability to accept GPS input and record it in the metadata with the photograph I was eager to try it.
After looking at several options and not wanting to spend a great deal, I purchased the Wolverine GEO-35. I am very please with my selection. It works exactly as stated.
Pros:
- Small and light
- Comes with velcro and a plastic shoe to attach it to the hot shoe of the camera
- On/off switch saves the camera battery
- Flashing/steady light indicates the GPS status
Cons:
- Takes a long time to establish a connection and start recording the GPS info. Although I have yet to time it, it is much slower than my Garmin eTrex GPS
- You are unable to use the flash when the GPS is attached. I am hoping to figure out a way around this.
